How did the company get started?

Kyomatt Entertainment Inc. was started in 2007 originally to produce low budget feature films.  After the first film, Brackish, it was discovered that many of the talents used in creating and marketing feature films would be useful in industry, hence Kyomatt Media was born providing videography, web design, and graphic design services.  The company has since gone on to produce several feature films and completed countless media projects for clients.

Who started the company?

The company was started by Matt Peters and Jason Covey, both of Frankfort, NY.  Matt has a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema from Binghamton University, and Jason has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology.  In addition to it's two owners, the company has several dozen contractors, each specializing in their own areas, it works with on a daily basis to complete its projects.

What's with your name, Kyomatt?

It's japanese, sort of.  The word "kyo" means great in Japanese and it's put in front of Matt's name.  We didn't know what else to call the company so we went with Matt's online name, which is that.  Naming things is tough.  It is pronounced key-o-matt.
